A protest against the law restricting the independence of NABU and SAP took place in Ternopil
Today in Ternopil, residents took to the streets in a protest following the adoption of a bill that effectively undermines the independence of the anti-corruption agencies NABU and SAP.
About thirty young people gathered near the building of the Ternopil Regional State Administration and the Regional Council.
“We decided to join this protest today because we care about Ukraine’s future. We do not want to return to the times of Yanukovych. We want to live in a free country where every corruption case is exposed, and the guilty are punished,” said protest participant Anastasiya Zaverukha.
Similar protests also took place in several other Ukrainian cities — Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, and Odesa.
